It is clear that your generous heart-driven actions are blessed. I too, have been blessed by generous heart-driven actions, and I share your vision of the healing power of creative art in Liberia. After 7 years of researching and implementing programs for opportunities that impact the war-affected youth, we found art to be the most effective healing source for the young adults in the rural areas of Liberia. We currently have reached out to international partners are helping to support the building of a public, cultural enrichment library and two muti-functional classrooms that will provide custom creative programs dedicated to these young adults and children, programs that we have seen as effective in Liberia, such as music, fine arts, creative writing, storytelling. and agricultural programs. We have recruited partners in USA (Schools for the Children of the World,)U.K.(Hermes House Band) New Zealand (The Greener Diamond)and of course, Liberia(ministry of education). Together we have a design, and have raised $69,000.00 and we need atleast $50,000.00 more for completion of the building . I envision musicians like yourself inspiring the young adults by coming to Libeia and talking, singing and playing music with them. If you have any ideas of how to make this vision a reality we welcome and respectfully appreciate your thoughts. Liberia needs our help to inspire the conflict-affected youth and I believe you would be the kind of role model that they could connect with. I truly hope you are willing to talk with us,

Today, an amazing day in my life and co-founder from Liberia, James Kumah's life,- an annoymous donor from my small town of Alma, Colorado gave World Music Development $26,000 in memory and honor of the soliders who have died in War. The 26K was donated to Hope for Children of Africa and is being matched by Schools for the children of the World, all the funds will be used to build a creative learning center in Gbarnga, Liberia that will provide the war-affected children of Liberia a safe…

I'm trying to create awareness about reaching out to conflict-affected children so I entered a contest on ONE.org that asked for a anti-poverty meme.
